- The unit serves 22 operation rooms on the hospital and several surgical
units : General Surgery, Radiotherapy, Neuro Surgery, Thoracic Surgery,
Urology, Obstetric , and Gynecology Ophthalmic Surgery, Plastic
Surgery,
ENT , Orthopedics Surgery, Pediatric Surgery ect.

- Also serves 23 intensive care beds
equipped with developed monitoring ,ventilators and resuscitation
machines, and advanced medical services

- There is no
open heart surgery nor organ transplant procedures
|
- A highly qualified
crew and expertly consultants and specialists
in the field of intensive care and anesthesia perform all
kind of anesthesia for patients (general anesthesia, local anesthesia ect ...
|
- They
also observe the ICU, and the emergency operations of all kind and they
train the resident doctors to be specialists, after passing their required
exams through the years of training and qualify them the
Jordanian
board exams, and the AMSC (the ARAB
of medical specialization for the Board)

- The
unit is recognized by the Jordanian medical board and the ARAB of
medical specialization.

- The
unit also host a lot of trainers
from other neighboring Arab countries and prepare them to be anesthesia
and ICU specialists within the rules and instructions of the
MOH and educational rules.

- The
unit also gives serves of anesthesia in the hearing aid center in Jabal
Al-Naser also the national center of psychological health, Queen Alia
Center for Audiology and speech aid to be examined under general anesthesia.
|
- In
cooperation with head of departments (of anesthesia and intensive
care) from other teaching hospital of MOH an exam for residences is held
twice a year which is literature, oral and clinical.
